Disable the spin cycle or set it to the lowest possible speed manually.

Use a specialized gel for wool and silk, or simply use your standard universal liquid laundry detergent (avoid powdered detergents).

Pre-treat the items by soaking them in cool water and rubbing them with lanolin-based bar soap before placing them in the machine.

Skip adding any additional detergent if you have pre-treated the items with soap.

Dry the garments by laying them flat on a thick, absorbent terry towel.
