- Dip oxygen stain sticks in a glass of boiling water before use to activate them. - Do not use sodium percarbonate or oxygen-based stain removers on cashmere, silk, or wool.

Mix 5 liters of boiling water with 2 tablespoons of oxygen bleach (or 100% sodium percarbonate), 2 tablespoons of dry laundry detergent (or grated laundry soap), and 1 tablespoon of odorless vegetable oil, adding ingredients in this exact order.

Submerge the items in the solution and leave until completely cool, stirring occasionally.

Boil the items in the solution for 15–30 minutes if the stains are very old, stirring occasionally, then allow to cool.
