Treatment Protocol
- 1Home Remedy
Lay the garment over a basin or pot with the stain facing up.
- 2Home Remedy5-10 minutes
Pour boiling water directly over the stain and let it soak for 5-10 minutes.
- 3Home Remedy
Rinse the area with cold running water; the stain should disappear without needing a full wash.
- 4
Use an oxygen-based stain remover stick (e.g., Udalix, Faberlic, Meine Liebe) if a halo remains, dipping the stick in boiling water first to activate it.
- 5
Apply an oxygen-based cleaning paste (e.g., Stiraliti, Wowclean, Brandfree, Synergetic, or 100% sodium percarbonate) and pour boiling water over it.
- 610 minutes
Scrub the area with a toothbrush after 10 minutes and wash the item in a machine using a detergent with enzymes or pre-wash the spot using stain-removing soap (e.g., BioMio, Bio Mama, Duru, Clean&White).
- 715 minutes
Apply Dr. Beckmann "Fruit and Drink" expert stain remover or store-bought sprays/gels (e.g., Udalix, Bagi, Forest Clean, Ecover, BioMio bio-stain remover) to the dampened stain, scrub gently with a toothbrush, wait 15 minutes, and rinse or machine wash.
- 8
Add a laundry booster (e.g., Ecoway, Udalix oxygen powder, Grass, Dutybox, 100% sodium percarbonate, Antipyatin gel, or Lavatute) directly into the washing machine drum along with an enzyme-based detergent (e.g., Bimax 100 Piatyen, Attack bioEX, or FreshBubble gel).
- 9Pro Tip
- Boiling water is suitable for most fabrics, but use it cautiously and locally on wool, cashmere, and silk. - Do not use soap or Vanish on these types of stains. - Sodium percarbonate and oxygen-based stain removers must never be used on cashmere, silk, or wool. - Treat berry stains with boiling water, but treat fruit stains with cold water.
